This line is powerful, “Poverty is not an individual failure story, and it is not only about money. Money—or the lack of it—is merely a mechanism used to keep people trapped. Poverty is a system, built to strip us of sovereignty and freedom, using our need for survival as its foundation.” I did not grow up poor but I acknowledge that the system keeps people trapped. Thank you for educating those about the truth.

Indeed, they are. But, we need to start naming and facing stuff which nature is becoming apparent to us. Scary sometimes. And yet, necessary.
